This Tuesday 20 August<\/strong>t, it is with great excitement that we announce the start of harvesting of the 2024 vintage at Ch\u00e2teau Saint-Maur Cru Class\u00e9<\/strong>.<\/div>
\u00a0<\/div>
In the cool of the night, under a starry sky, our team started harvesting with the first bunches of Rolle<\/strong>the emblematic white grape variety of our terroir.<\/div>
\u00a0<\/div>
The 2024 vintage is very promising, but it has not been without its challenges.<\/div>
\u00a0<\/div>
This spring, with its heavy rainfall, put a lot of pressure on the health of our vines, forcing us to redouble our efforts to prevent diseases such as mildew.<\/div>
\u00a0<\/div>
However, thanks to the dedication and expertise of our team of winemakers, led by Patrick Galliano<\/strong>We've risen to the challenge. Their hard work is all the more valuable this year, as it is part of our conversion to organic farming, a major commitment for the future of our estate.<\/div>
\u00a0<\/div>
2024 was a cooler year than 2023, so the grapes ripened more slowly and harmoniously. The traditional storm on 15 August provided a beneficial finishing touch, allowing the grapes to reach full ripeness before the harvest.<\/div>
\u00a0<\/div>
With the harvest now underway, it's the turn of the team<\/strong> d'Am\u00e9lie<\/strong>our cellar master, to take over in the cellar and begin vinification.<\/div>
Their expertise and passion will be decisive in sublimating this vintage and making exceptional wines.<\/div>
