EXHIBITION

AETERRA

From 10 July to 31 August 2025

The combination of Château Saint-Maur and the ORAÉ gallery takes a fresh look at contemporary art, between heritage and innovation.

Through five unique worlds, the exhibition offers a sensory and poetic experience, questioning our relationship with the elements, their transformation and the fragile beauty of living things.

A sensory immersion in the heart of the elements

With more than 500 m² of exhibition space spread over three levels, this year's show will feature a wide range of products and services. a sensory and contemplative journey through the works of five artists with singular practicesall rooted in the natural elements - earth, fire, air, water - and their metamorphoses.

"Aeterra" questions our relationship with matter, time and the environment through works in which matter transforms, dissolves or crystallisesIn a perpetual movement between balance and chaos, fragility and power.

  • David Aiu Servan-Schreiber explores fire and its memory. His sculptures in altered metal bear witness to the passage of time, heat and transformation. He forges works marked by oxidation, between ephemerality and permanence.
  • Lara Nabawy gives life to sand, a material that is both fluid and immobile. It freezes movement, captures light and evokes the invisible forces of wind, water and human memory.
  • Morgane Baroghel-Crucq shapes air through contrasting materials: linen, copper and stainless steel. Between lightness and density, his suspended works play with light to create a sensation of weightlessness and organic vibration.
  • Mathilde Wittock combines earth and sound. Her sculptures are objects of memory, echoes of the past recomposed from collected fragments, nourished by a reflection on durability, sensoriality and the emotional link to materials.
  • Mattia Bosco works with stone as a living material. He hybridises raw rock and human matter, questioning the boundary between nature and artifice, between original form and sculpted transformation.

A not-to-be-missed event in Provence

In a place where vines and art meet, this exhibition is in keeping with the desire of the Château Saint-Maur a dialogue between tradition and contemporary creation. An artistic and sensory interlude in the heart of the Provencal summer.
