In the heart of the wine-growing region of Provence, in the setting of the Château Saint-Maur Cru Classé in Cogolin, the contemporary art gallery ORAÉ invites the artist Lucia Sellier to present its new collection, " La Matière Découpée ". From 25 September to 01 January 2026, in the heart of the vineyards overlooking sun-drenched landscapes, over three levels and more than 500 m² of exhibition space, ORAÉ highlights the artist's work through his new collection of recycled landscapes.

The approach of artist Lucia Sellier 

Trained as an interior designer, Lucia grew up travelling through Africa and the Middle East. These experiences have given her a taste for travelling, colours, the sea and light, with a particular attachment to Greece, where she has family roots. Her love of fabrics has always been an integral part of her various professional experiences in interior design and scenography.

The idea of finding a way to give them a second life grew inside her until, in 2020, she embarked on an artistic approach that was as positive as it was committed: her recycled landscapes. The artist plays with contrasting textures, reliefs, shapes and movements, and has developed her own technique for reusing materials. She has launched her first collection, " Aspra "This will be followed in September 2020 by his second collection, " Light "in 2021, and its third, " Kalo kéri "in 2022, presented at an exhibition at the Galerie au Roi in Paris. The " The cut-out material "will be presented for the first time at Château Saint Maur.

"La Matière Découpée

For this new collection, Lucia continues her exploration of textile materials. Always inspired by the Mediterranean and the unique setting of Saint-Tropez, the artist has created a new universe through a dialogue of colours and textures. This new collection further affirms her commitment to sustainable, timeless design. It's a sensitive interpretation of textiles, between mastery of gesture and refinement of materials.

"I like the living aspect of materials. Depending on the light, the exposure, the time of day, they won't give the same result, the same impression. There's always something new to find in them, an allure, a bit like a garment. I like the idea of having several readings. Like a journey, everyone is free to imagine their own story, their own world. This imaginary freedom is at the heart of my project. LUCIA SELLIER
