vineyard

Discover the care and attention we give to the cultivation of the vines to produce our Crus Classés wines.

Château Saint-Maur covers nearly 100 hectares of vineyards in the foothills of the Maures mountains, including 75 hectares of AOP Côtes de Provence and 23 hectares of IGP Vin de Pays du Var. Out of the 75 hectares, the estate has a little gem of 14 hectares : Clos de Capelune.

For the vinification, our new generation winery is a major asset to reinforce the qualitative positioning of our Crus.

a piecemeal approach

The approach of our wines is thought in a parcel-by-parcel manner.

The plot of Clos Saint-Vincent, near Saint-Tropez, benefits from strong maritime influences and a sandy draining soil.

The one from Château Saint-Maur Cru Classé, is a vineyard sheltered from the foothills of the Maures massif. Our vines cover the gentle slopes of the hills on a mostly clay-limestone soil.

Finally, the Clos de Capelune plot overlooks the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, on the heights of Collobrières. It has in its rows the highest vine of the Côtes de Provence appellation at 449 m of altitude. This parcel has a primary soil of schist and quartz.

We reason by plot. Each one of them has benefited from specific care so that the grapes express naturally their best potential.

grape varieties

At Château Saint-Maur, Cinsault, Grenache and Syrah reign supreme, followed by Mourvèdre, Tibouren, Rolle (Vermentino), Cabernet Sauvignon and Carignan. If the vines are particularly pampered, the vinification is carried out according to the rules of the art in the heart of a high-tech cellar where Patrick Galliano's teams carry out a goldsmith work.

The result : a range of exceptional wines that have become, in less than five years, a reference for the Appellation Côtes de Provence throughout the world.
