Discover the care and attention we give to the cultivation of the vines to produce our Crus Classés wines.

Château Saint-Maur covers nearly 100 hectares of vines in the foothills of the Maures massif, 75 hectares of which are AOP Côtes de Provence and 23 hectares IGP Vin de Pays du Var. Of the 75 hectares, the estate has a little gem of 14 hectares: the Clos de Capelune.

For the vinification, our new generation winery is a major asset to reinforce the qualitative positioning of our Crus.

PLOT MAP 1

a piecemeal approach

Our wines are approached in a parcel-by-parcel manner.

The plot of Clos Saint-VincentThis area, near Saint-Tropez, benefits from strong maritime influences and a sandy draining soil.

That of the Château Saint-Maur Cru Classé, is a vineyard sheltered by the foothills of the Maures massif. Our vines cover the gentle slopes of the hills on a mostly clay-limestone soil.

Finally, the Clos de Capelune overlooks the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, on the heights of Collobrières. It has the highest vine in the Côtes de Provence appellation at 449 m altitude. This parcel has a primary soil with schist and quartz.

We reason by plot. Each one of them has received specific care so that the grapes express their best potential naturally.

grape varieties

At Château Saint-Maur, Cinsault, Grenache and Syrah reign supreme, followed by Mourvèdre, Tibouren, Rolle (Vermentino), Cabernet Sauvignon and Carignan. If the vines are particularly pampered, the vinification is carried out according to the rules of the art in the heart of a high-tech cellar where Patrick Galliano's teams carry out a work of goldsmith.

The result is a range of exceptional wines which in less than five years have become references for the Côtes de Provence PDO throughout the world.
